The Boston Globe

This article hit #1 on Boston Globe “Most Emailed” Chart!

Burnt Food Museum has also appeared on

  • Food Network: “UnWrapped”
  • ABC: “The View”
  • NPR: “Weekend Edition with Scott Simon”
  • American Public Radio: “The Splendid Table”

And originally in the “Annals of Improbable Research”

The Museum of Burnt Food was the cover story in the January/February 1992 issue of the “Annals of Improbable Research” (at that time called the “Journal of Irreproducible Results”)

Selections from that seminal article can be found at the following links:

DISCLAIMER: The BFM takes no responsbility for the journalistic exhuberance of “JIR” and “AIR” reporters, though we applaud their enthusiasm. Accounts that the “real-space” Museum is visited annually by more than 25,000 people are optimistic by a factor of approximately a hundred thousand, or possibly a factor of 25,000, though our cyber-visitors number far more.

Suggestions that the onsite research staff includes 45 post-nutrition food scholars and a restaurant pavilion employing 27 full-time educators and food service workers are …um…well…WE haven’t seen the pavilion.

But maybe after the smoke clears, we’ll find it.
